Terms of use

Effective 5 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Ediga Vivaha for using the app and this website. By creating an account you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of this agreement.

Who can join

• You must be 18 or older and legally free to marry.
• You may create one account, for yourself, and the photos and video must be of you.
• Ediga Vivaha is made for the Ediga community. We do not verify community membership, so please be honest about who you are.

Verification

After you complete your profile you record a short selfie video. A person on our team compares it with your photos and approves it, rejects it with a reason, or asks you to record it again. We may also ask an approved member to verify again. Until you are approved you can browse, but you cannot like, be shown to others, or chat. Verification checks only that the face in the video matches the photos. It is not a check of background, marital status, income, horoscope or anything else on a profile.

Your profile and your content

• Everything on your profile must be true, current and about you.
• You own your photos, video and messages. You give us permission to store them, resize and blur them, and show them to other members and to our reviewers as the service needs. That permission ends when the content or your account is deleted, except where we must keep something for a safety report or under law.
• Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, and no nudity or sexual content.

How to behave

Treat every member the way you would want a member of your own family treated. Do not:

• harass, threaten, insult or pressure anyone, or keep contacting someone who has stopped replying;
• ask for money, sell anything, advertise, or send spam;
• pretend to be someone you are not, or hide that you are married;
• copy, screenshot or share another member’s photos or messages outside the app;
• post anything that is obscene, invades another person’s privacy, is harmful to children, infringes someone else’s copyright or trademark, is knowingly false or misleading, threatens the unity, security or public order of India, or contains malware;
• use bots, scripts or scraping, or try to get around the app’s limits.

You can report any profile or conversation from inside the app, and block anyone. Reports go to our team and are kept confidential. You can also write to our grievance officer at support@edigavivaha.in. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, and we remove intimate or morphed images of a person within 24 hours of their complaint.

Our decisions

We may warn you, remove content, pause or delete your account if these terms are broken, if a report is upheld, or if we believe other members are at risk. We make these calls ourselves and will tell you the reason where it is safe to do so. You can write to us if you think we got it wrong.

Limits and paid features

Free use has limits, such as a daily number of likes, and we may change those limits. We may later offer paid features through Google Play. Prices will be shown before you buy, and Google Play’s rules on payment and refunds will apply to those purchases.

What we do not promise

We cannot promise you a match or a marriage. We cannot vouch for anything a member says about themselves beyond the face check described above. Please take the care you would take anywhere else: meet in public places, tell your family, and never send money to someone you met here.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or from the delete your account page. We may suspend or end your account as described under Our decisions.

Liability

The service is provided as it is, and we do our best to keep it working and safe. To the extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be heard by the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Changes and contact

When these terms change we will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if the change matters to you. Questions go to support@edigavivaha.in.
